To fish anywhere in Holland you’ll need a license. This is your own responsibility. No license usually means a big fine now-adays. I can advise you on how to obtain the necessary license for the kind of fishing you want to do.

Below the age of 13 no license is required if the youth is accompanied by an adult with a license.

There are 2 options for licenses:
  1. You can buy a ‘VISpas’ as the license is called and this license gives you the right to fish all year round in Holland on all the waters described in the booklet that comes with the VISpas. Costs are € 40, = a license.
  2. You can also get a day- or weekpermit with the Fishingfederation for MidHolland for € 5 (day) or € 10 (week). This license is available on line here http://www.hfmiddennederland.nl/ . One drawback might be that you must be sure about the date as this license will only be valid on that specific date and on restricted waters.
If you are not sure about date or the papers you’ll need, give me a call and we’ll sort it out.
